Jeff has owned the car since 2006, when he bought it from a gentleman on the West Coast (Los Angeles Area). That owner told Jeff that the car was always in the Southern CA area since new. I think the undercarriage pictures will verify this information as it shows zero signs of rust or decay. The car has been completely restored with most of the mechanical work being done between 2002 and 2006. The NOM engine was rebuilt by Vrbancic Bros. Racing in Ontario, CA in 2002. The engine starts right up, idles smoothly and runs with authority. The MagnaFlow Exhaust is less than a year old, has a sweet throaty sound to it. Less than 21K miles are estimated to be on the engine since the rebuilt. A picture of the dyno sheet is attached. Much of the restoration (over $12K) work was done by the legendary Dick Guldstrand Shop in Burbank, CA. The work included the suspension, brand new wiring harness and new Air Conditioning System. The car tracks down the road perfectly, sporting a brand new set of Toyo Diamond Back Tires. The ride quality and handling capabilities are superb thanks to all the suspension work. The body and paint are in #1 condition, having been done in mid 2008. The car has been garaged everyday since the work was done and maybe has 2000 miles. There is not a chip or scratch on the car. The body appeared to be completely original before the work was done. The Chrome is a solid 8.5 out of 10 and looks amazingly original. The Interior was restored with the seats being upgraded to Leather from the original standard vinyl. New seat cushioning was added to the recovered seats for a new comfortable feel. New door sills were added as well to give the overall interior that completed look. The Convertible Top is like brand new. The original Astro Ventilation side windows are still in the car and in near perfect condition, no scratches like most of the power window cars seem to get. The original hood was replaced with a mid 70's hood to get rid of the ratcheting open/close style system that are notoriously clunky. The door mechanism goes with the car if someone wants to put it back, but there is no hood. This new hood looks very clean with the car and if you are using windshield wipers this is the way to go. Currently the odometer and the little lights under the radio are not working. The odometer has been broken since Jeff bought the car. He does not think he has even averaged 200 miles per year since he bought it. So the car probably has about 108K on the chassis. The engine has approximately 21K miles on it since it was rebuilt in 2002. This is a superbly restored Corvette, with over $28K being spent within the last 20K miles of ownership. It appears to be a virgin bodied car, with a gorgeous high-dollar paint and body restoration. The 383 Stroker puts out all the power you would ever want in this type of vintage Corvette.
