| Car history: |
This car is an excellent value in a bumper year, T-top Corvette. Black exterior, code correct black vinyl interior, with a numbers matching 200hp 350ci engine, automatic transmission and posi rear end. Assembled on August 23, 1971, this Corvette was originally Steel Cities Gray; paint code 988. The paint on this car overall has a nice shine with some stress cracks/flakes in a few places. The chrome bumpers I believe to be original and show typical wear of 39 year old chrome. The chrome doors handles also look to be original, but have strong spring return and only minor pitting. The car is fitted with a luggage rack which also has some pitting. The weather-stripping is older but mostly intact. This car still has the original taillights and original windows. This 72 wears rally wheels with shiny trim rings and center caps. I recently had brake work and new Goodyear tires put on. The seat covers are in good condition with no rips or tears, and the door panels look very nice as well. The center console is in good condition with no cracks, and the dash pad is crack free also. The carpet is the correct loop style, and has no extensive wear or fading. The gauges look good with clear lenses. The clock, tach and odometer are not working. A vintage Kenwood cassette stereo was installed with no cutting or alteration to the dash. The numbers matching engine has a cast date of August 11, 1971. Inspection shows a virtually rust-free frame. Factory features also include power steering, power brakes, tilt-n-tele, air conditioning, AM/FM stereo and alarm system. This classy black 72 represents a very nice driver at a great price. This car has a clear title but the State of Georgia does not issue titles on vehicle of this year. The engine has been rebuilt and the odometer is not working. Correct mileage is unknown. Price: US $12,300.00 Item number: 330494448640 |
