You are looking at a really nice 1981 Corvette that was purchased from an insurance co. with very light front end damage, but because its fiberglass they gave it a loss and issued a salvage title. Engine runs awesome, and tranny shifts properly, car runs very well for a 1981 vehicle. I'm sure it needs some tlc here and there, in the way of some mechanicals but generally in very good shape. The front end clip was replaced, and some nose damaged repaired, it looks real good actually going down the road. Radio is almost new and original but not connected, and antenna outside is just cosmetic not connected either will need to be done by audio person or do it yourselfer. Seats were professionally recovered in black naugahyde and look new, drivers seat has some issue that it is reclined a little farther back, either drive that way or would have to be repaired. door panels and carpets etc, are decent. rear compartment looks pretty good and rear comparment roll cover is present. Tires are in excellent shape and rims are decent with some imperfections of course. new center caps. Comes with new vinyl leather black bra for front end that was never used, just installed and tested and drove a few miles with it. Has new emblems, and L-82 side emblems are just for show, and don't denote true engine which is a 350 L-48. Glass is all good, also installed new gauge cluster bezel. power windows work, and so do main gauges, but small gauges work intermittently and some don't work like most vettes of these years. Brakes are decent but I would guess need redoing pads etc... Comes with an aluminum aftermarket fan shroud that looks nice but it's not pictured. will be installed in car. Front headlights come up manually but are not connected. don't know if they will work. need to be checked out and fixed, pumps are good i tested them, so they should but I'm not guaranteeing them and don't want trouble of going through them. I installed extra brace in from clip center to reinforce nose and keep from rattling as I have done in many vettes, its under hood, and can't be seen but wanted to disclose. T-tops lock and work ok, they are from 1981. t-top interior panels were painted with black vinyl paint as they were worn, the look ok but obviously refurbished, but not damaged. All glass is really good. dash looks good from inside but does have some cracks in corners, you can buy a dash inlay on ebay for 100.00 or repair if desired. Best part is paint. I spent quite a bit on a two stage paint job in the original factory red on the outside. door jams etc were left as original and buffed out. but paint looks great, it looks like a $15000.00 vette with the paint job. paint has a few flaws, here and there but overall very very nice. car was stripped and prepped with high build primer before painting to prevent cracks in future. Front bumper was glassed and fused to front clip as that is only way to make those bumpers look like they fit the car, so front bumper is not removable, but who would want or need to remove the thousand retaining screws to do it anyway. either way I want to disclose it. Car had a minor hit and was fixed, chassis is straight and all bumper reinforcement parts steel or rubber, or foam, were replaced with oem ones. if you look inside I'm sure you can see it was fixed but you have to look inside. no surprises here. It will come with a Florida rebuilt title with inspection approved, etc. so no worries getting title and on the road. I'm sure car has things it needs as it is a 1981 and not a show car, but I think looks real nice for half the price of another one out there.
