Motorcar Classics is pleased to present this 1970 L46 Corvette Roadster featured in Monza Red with black interior, matching black convertible top, and rare factory removable hard top with a black vinyl finish. The car is powered by Chevrolets L46 350CI/350HP V8 with Muncie M21 4-speed gearbox, F41 Suspension Package and Chambered exhaust. The car has had a frame-on restoration with one repaint, original chrome bumper and grills in front and original rear bumperettes re-chromed in rear. No stress cracks on body anywhere, all vacuum systems work properly, headlight cans are new. The motor is a warranty replacement unit from 1970, Serial # CE-9B430-61. The engine was rebuilt to factory specs about 13,800 miles ago and was built to accommodate unleaded fuel. Rebuilt Rochester Quadrajet carb, date-code correct rebuilt alternator and starter. New steel fuel lines, clamps, and filters. Replacement radiator of original design. The transmission has new synchronizers. The clutch was replaced along with the pressure plate, pilot bushing and throw out bearing. The brake calipers are all rebuilt with new steel and flex brake lines and new master cylinder. It has all new suspension bushings front and rear, new trailing arms and bearing assemblies with less than 500 miles. New Red Top Optima battery. New BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, 225/70R15, Original Beauty Rims, Center Caps, Interior is original with only the seat foam replaced. The car was built to drive and feels great on the road. It has classic early C3 Corvette lines with the desirable chrome bumpers. Much has been invested in the car and we feel it to be a strong value. |
