I purchased this car in January of 2006 from a couple in North Carolina. I have an odometer disclosure statement verifying it had 72,212 miles at the time. It has PS, PB, PW, A/C, Tilt, & Telescopic wheel. I wanted to keep it original looking but improve the performance. I rebuilt the engine using an Eagle stroker crankshaft 496 kit in 2006. I was not satisfied with the performance so I had it gone through again last year with all new pistons bearings seals etc. We went with a more aggressive cam profile and added a LS6 intake, long tube headers and Holley 850 carb. The LS6 intake was the best performance and still fit under the stock hood. Made a huge difference. I have not had it on a dyno, but having had many hot cars this would have to be around 500 hp. At the same time I bought a new 400 turbo trans and had it worked over to shift more positive. Also added a 2500 stall converter. It is not noticeable but allows the car to idle properly. The original trans was working properly and comes with the car as does all the other original parts (exhaust manifolds, carb., intake etc.). Over the time I have owned the car I have gone through the brakes and wheel bearings. Air has been converted and blows cold. New top a couple of years ago. I changed the stock 3.08 gears to a 3.73 ratio and added new strut rods, u-joints, and bushings at the same time. The interior is leather and original and in very good condition. The center console and gauge console were removed and all the broken and brittle parts replaced and fits perfectly. The clock and trip do not work. I added the refurbished alloys and BF Goodrich TA's. Comes with original rally wheels and tires. Lights go up and down properly. It has had a repaint at some time and I would call it very good driver quality. I did have the front rubber nose repainted as it had some paint cracks. Matches perfectly. This car looks bone stock, but is incredibly quick. It has a nice lope to the idle, but does idle perfectly. It runs under 200 degrees even in the hottest weather. I am almost 60 and take very good care of my cars. I have receipts for many thousands of dollars and there is a lot of stuff I have forgotten to mention. This car has been stored winters in a heated garage. |
