I need to sell my 1971 Stingray muscle car. I have ALL receipts for work done in last 18 mos since I purchased. The repairs include rebuilt engine (less than 1,500 miles ago), new suspension, professionally installed Sony CD player behind seat so did not disturb factory dash or radio, new GM power steering system installed, brake system totally gone through, vacuum system worked through, new exhaust system.
This car is powerful with freshly re-built, numbers matching, 350 bored .30, powder-coated headers, a 280 competition cam, Holley carb and aluminum intake. Again, I have all reciepts and an engine spec sheet from the mechanic. This car has an automatic 400 Turbo transmission. Mechanic says horsepower around 400 with great torque. Gas mileage is around 12mpg.
This is a legitimate head-turner and dependable car. Of course, it has T-tops and the back glass pops out. I get a LOT of compliments when driving it. The paint is original color and is a good 10-footer, good for a daily driver. T-tops recently started leaking a little. May be time for new weatherstripping. Wipers not working, needs a new switch but the wiper motor is new. headlights slow to rise but they do. If I kept, I would spend the money to add GM air (about $1,500).
I am a very honest seller. I will tell you anything you want to know about this car truthfully. There are no surprises here. It is nearly 40 years old, so not perfect. However, it is in great condition for what it is. In fact is was recently appraised for $35,000
