Car history:
1977 Chevrolet Corvette. Only 51,707 original miles.
And yes...it looks as good in person, as it does in the pictures !! This is one of the nicest C3's for the money you'll ever run across.
Built the first week of production 8/76, this is one of the earliest 1977 Corvettes off the line !! Car # 991 of 49,213 !!
* Car has the original matching numbers L-48 engine with rare orange engine block. Between August 23rd, and Sept 7th, 1976 the Flint, Michigan engine assembly plant changed the paint colors used on Corvette engines from orange to blue.

* Early 1977 Corvettes came with the alarm key hole on the left front fender and lacked fender emblems. This changed during production. The update included the loss of the alarm key hole and a new crossed flags emblem.

* Original stainless horn button. These were recalled by GM shortly after production started, and replaced with a painted button to avoid glare.

I purchased this car last May from longtime Corvette enthusiasts who had owned the car for ten years. I have put just several hundred problem free miles on it since. Mostly original, quality car throughout. Check out the supersized photos that show just how nice this car really is. Below is a honest description of the car to the best of my knowledge, and ability. You just can't duplicate a car of this quality for less money, and there's not many safer investments, than a nice 30+ year old Red Corvette with low mileage.

Mechanics:
The car runs and drives fine. Very reliable, and always starts. Original, matching numbers engine is strong, and transmission shifts smoothly. Car drives straight down the road, and stops fine. AC works, and is cold. $1177.38 was spent on all new calipers and brake pads just 600 miles ago from a well known GM Corvette service center. Older Goodyear Eagle ST's could used replaced, but fine for short trips and around town driving. Slight tire rub when making slow, hard right turn. Everything seems to be in good working order throughout including: headlight doors, power windows, gauges (except clock), lights, turn signals, horn, etc. Aftermarket radio, but comes with original (working?). Speakers could use attention. Just one free standing in rear. Expect the normal leaks from seals and gaskets associated with a low mileage 31 year old car. Undercarriage has not been detailed, and really could use a good cleaning, oil spray, etc.

Exterior & Interior:
One of the nicest paint jobs you'll ever see on one of these cars...PERIOD !! Fully stripped and repainted correct #72 Medium Red at a cost of over $4,000.00 back in 2000. Only a few thousand miles since repaint, and it looks it !! Slick, smooth, mirror finish, free of any visual blemishes. Unlike most you'll see with a damaged nose, and a tube of touch up paint dribbled all over the hood, you'll be very proud of the appearance of this car. Nice interior throughout, and appears to be mostly original (new carpet and mats).

Included with the car:
The past owner added some chrome to the engine compartment, but saved, and gave me, I believe, most all the original parts to return its stock appearance. Air cleaner lid, valve covers, etc. (see pics). You'll also get the original owners manual, shop manual, and a repair and tune up guide.
