I got this car as partial payment for a loan that was given to my son-in-law. He had been working on it for some time. Underneath the vehicle all of the rubber bushings have been changed, new exhaust, brake lines, wheel seals, brakes, you name it. Nothing had been done to the motor when I got it. It had been sitting for about a year or so when he was sent to jail for DWI and even after I got it I let it sit for about a year before I started working on it. When I decided to start it and get it ready for sale it kept running hot. I changed out the thermostat, then flushed out radiator, changed water pump and even ordered original pulleys and belts thinking the speed may have something to do with it. All the changes and it still ran hot. That's when I decided to pull the motor. The engine had been bored .080. To much, making the cylinder walls too thin. I took another block, I own a machine shop, bored it .040, turned the crank, decked the block, sized the rods and with a new set of pistons I was ready to go back together. I decided to put a .480 lift hydraulic cam and aluminum intake on it just for the heck of it. The engine now runs great, has less that 200 miles on it and doesn't run hot.
Now then. First of all I do not like vettes, don't want a vette and don't know anything about vettes. The car needs some interior work and cleaning. My son-in-law, now X-son-in-law did something to the headlights and it now has non original ones on it. Don't know why or what he did with the original but they are gone none the less. This is a good start to a nice vehicle IF YOU LIKE VETTES and I don't. Camaro man myself. Anyway, clear title and if it is something you want, make me an offer. I want to get it out of here. Tired of looking at it. Can be seen at Alley Creek area on Lake O the Pines. You can ask me anything you want and I will answer if I can but as I stated. I don't know anything about vettes but will do my best.
