| Car history: |
The good: A nice 1970 Corvette Stingray in Bridgehampton Blue. This is a project car that needs work but it does run and drive with no major problems. It is a car that you can restore while you drive and have fun. It is all there except for the radio. 350, 300 horse with automatic, more power than the later models. The body is good with some cracks but remember this is a 1970. A distinctive metal bumper car. New for 1970 were bigger fender flares in the front to cut down on damage from debris. This flare along with the hood design and metal bumpers set this car apart from the more common later 70's cars. It does have a nice stance and look. Nice original wheel set, I should really keep these for my 75 convertible. The car is not rusty, good frame. Miles stated as actual on the title. Power windows do work. The project: It does need paint. Windshield is cracked. Headlights are stuck down but work. All other lights work. Windshield wipers don't work. Header gasket needs replaced. Chrome trim has some patina but all GM parts. Trim tag is missing but might be in my friends tool box. Drivers seat needs recovered for the cloth insert. Needs new carpet. Checking the engine code it is a GM replacement engine CEOA 38689. There may be some more small things to fix, i have tried to cover the major items. I don't have the trim plate but i am trying to get it. It appears to be 979 Bridgehampton Blue with 411 blue interior. 57,576 miles. July 18, 2009. |
