| Title: 69 Chevy CORVETTE STINGRAY L36 427cid/390hp AT. I purchased this vehicle 7 years ago when I lived in Texas from my realator. He was working on restoring but never got the time to complete. He purchased from a buddy who brought the car back from Amsterdam when he moved back to Texas a few years earlier. Since I was moving back to GA and my realator couldnt find the key it spent about a year just sitting in my garage. I finally had a key made and hired a corvette Mechanic to get it started. After changing the plugs, oil and draining the gas we started the car it ran a little rough but eventually smoothed out on its own. We both sat and were amazed on how good it sounded. I eventually gave him the vehicle to work on needless and someone ended up steeling the orginal carb. I got the vehicle back and it sat for another year or two in my garage. I recenltly purchased a newlly rebuilt rochester carb and started the vehicle and got it running. The Vehicle needs to be restored to be a driver but does run. Car has new Carb,GM Gas tank and battery. The body is straight but the paint is faded and chipping in some spots. The Paint code say Aztech Gold but it looke like it was painted a Lemans blue then red. The hood is off a little but just need to be centered and tightened up. Car does not appear to have been in any major colision. Interior is fare panels are good and so are seats. Carpet behind seats will need to be replaced. Both tops are in good condition. I checked most of the numbers and it appears to be a matching numbers vehicle. The engine size and Transmission are correct according to the Vin #. Everyone knows the values of C3 vets are rising quickly espcially a 69 with a highly soughted 427. This is the last year the StingRay was listed as one word. I really intended to keep this car but with my oldest son's new project in the drive way and my next son driving in a year I have way to many cars and something has to go. I will probaby kick myself in a few years but I rather see someone driving this vehcile then it going to waste in my driveway. Every year running or not this vehicle will continue to appreciate in value. I have misplaced the title but vehicle will come with Bill of sale. Vehicle is clear and as no liens. Intake# 3947801 Block# I0905LL. Colors from the trim plate. 98,000 miles. March 12, 2008. |
