| Car history: |
59,024 miles. June 2, 20100. Stunning, show quality 1969 Corvette. Rare 900 Code Black with black standard interior. This car is the 18th before the last 1969 Corvette produced in that model year. Quite possibly the last Black 1969 produced as it was manufactured in the last few hours of production. Last year for black until 1977. This is an original 58,000 mile, no hit car and retains all of the original body panels, pulleys, Fan Blade, original dated fan clutch, radiator, born with original Block, heads, intake, carb, transmission and rear end. There is absolutely no rust on the frame. This car underwent an extensive restoration following as close to NCRS standards as possible. Close to $50K was spent restoring this car with love and attention rather than trying to turn a profit. A complete Chassis restoration was completed to include all new and restored trailing arms, rotors, brakes, lines, restored original spring, complete front end ect. as seem by the chassis photos. Everything was researched and is as correct as possible to include the correct markings on Bolt heads wherever possible, paint dabs, QC marks etc. The exception is a 1971 dated Smog Pump and clocked diverter valve. The Pump was gutted and the manifolds plugged so the system is non functional and drains no Horsepower. The engine was rebuilt with internal modifications only to include a 383 Stroker Kit, ported/polished heads, and dyno'ed at 400HP and a whopping 460 Ft. Lbs. or torque. The original 3.70 rear end gears were replaced with 3.55 for better highway cruising. A side pipe conversion was done with over $3k spend on correct reproduction side exhaust. Redline Radials were installed for better handling. This is a no nonsense car with no power steering, no power brakes, no AC and no other Horsepower robbing accessories. As pure a driving experiance as you can have. The only negatives to the car are that it will need a new tach cable (the bend was too sharp and it broke the inner cable) and the rear panel will need some better finishing where the standard exhaust holes were filled. This car was built with passion and no expense was spared getting every detail as correct as possible. A proven show winner. $35,000. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is Q18. 58,000 miles. November 14, 2009. |
