Well, I bought a 2010 Grand Sport so I'm out of garage space! The car is a 74' 4-spd, T-Top. The previous owner had a nice clearcoat/basecoat paint job put on it and has a great shine. The main reason I bought this car 5 years ago is I didn't want to do paint/body/frame work, and this looked great the day I bought it! The frame/body and underside is very nice and not scaly anywhere, it's not a native New England car. It has never been driven in the rain as long as I've owned it and it lives in a garage under a Wolf cover (comes with it).
The engine and trans were professionally rebuilt 2800 miles ago around when I got it and have Sportsman II heads, Comp 270 cam, ceramic coated headers, Edelbrock intake and 600 carb, probably about ~350hp, runs strong and sounds great with just a little lope in the idle. The trans was rebuilt at the same time, and is a wide ratio Muncie M-20. The car got a new interior at the same time, new panels, seats, carpet, gauges (mileage read 00000 when I bought it), door panels, etc.
There are no "corvette idiosyncrasies" in the car, the E-brake works, All gauges work, pop-up headlights work, even the clock works! The only thing not right is the A/C doesn't work as it should, I charged it and it blew cold, but threw the belt twice, so I just left it off as I can count on one hand the number of times I've driven the car with the roof on :-) .
I took a bunch of pictures, including many underneath to show the frame, etc is clean being that I live in New England. I wouldn't have the car NCRS judged, but it's a very nice car and won't embarrass at a car show! $16,900. Any questions my cell is four one three - two one eight - seven eight eight nine. |
