| 1972 CHEVROLET BIG BLOCK CONVERTIBLE - RESTORED - LESS THAN 200 MILES SINCE RESTORATION - NUMBERS MATCHING 454 ENGINE- POWER STEERING- POWER BRAKES- POWER WINDOWS- LEATHER INTERIOR- A/C- $14,000 SPENT ON PAINT. This is a beautiful fully restored #2 1972 Big block. This was a frame -on restoration that started out as a mild fix-up and ended up being a 7 1/2 year project with no expense spared. The motor is original and has been totally rebuilt, balanced and blue printed, with the original intake and new Holley carb. The motor and engine compartment are highly detailed. All the pulleys, a/c bracket s, hood hinges fan blades are chromed. The underside of the hood is finished out and as smooth as the body. The auto transmission was totally rebuilt, the radiator is new, all of the a/c system is either new or rebuilt, the front suspension was totally replaced, including new springs, power steering pump and hoses, all new brakes and hoses, total new exhaust syst., Edelbrock Performance shocks, new gas tank and sending unit. The Black Leather Interior was all replaced, including dash pad, door panels, New dash speakers, Kenwood stereo C/D, Rebuilt clock with Quartz movement, Windshield and carpets. All of the instuments and guage lenses are brand new. Every piece of interior trim has been replaced. The Three- Point Seat Belts were restored. The fiberglass was stripped down to the gel coat and for the next two years every seam, door gaps, hood fit, headlight doors were carefully worked. The paint is Nassua Blue PPG 2 stages. The car drives just as nice as it looks. The first thing you notice is how tight and rattle free it is. Everything works fine, except the a/c needs to charged and the windshield wipers are not hooked up. February 21, 2010. |
