| THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL AND LOADED NUMBERS MATCHING 1971 CORVETTE WITH AIR CONDITIONING, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, AUTOMATIC, REBUILT MOTOR, LEATHER SEATS AND OF COURSE THE CAR COMES WITH THE STANDARD T-TOPS AND REMOVABLE REAR WINDOW! EXTERIOR: The body is straight and the paint is new. The front end appears to have never been off of the car. The frame is straight and solid, the keyholes forward of the rear wheels look good. The weatherstrip is either in good condition or new and the door mains and pillar post weatherstrips are new. The headlights are functional. The tires have a good amount of meat on them and look great on the car's original style rally wheels. The chrome is good or new. The original spare tire carrier looks good and has not had a jack put underneath it like so many of them have. She's a looker! INTERIOR: The interior is beautiful showing no conspicuous blemishes. The seats, carpet and the door panels are new. The dash looks great too. The stereo was installed with no modification of the gauge bezel/dash but it will need new speakers. All of the gauges work except for the clock, and they look great but a tachometer drive distributor and cable will need to be installed to have the mechanically driven tachometer working as a late model HEI Corvette distributor is currently in use. Subsequent to these pictures being taken the correct steering wheel was installed. The door sills are new and the rear compartment doors while still functional no longer work like new. The car is very pleasant to sit in and drive. MECHANICS: The car possesses its numbers matching 350 cubic inch motor that was rebuilt within the last 5000 miles. The motor has an aluminum intake on it and headers. The transmission shifts well. The exhaust is a couple of years old and both the front and rear suspensions appear to have been redone at some point in time n the past-their bushings appear not to be coming apart. The brakes have been redone with STAINLESS STEEL SLEEVED CALIPERS as well. The A/C will need a recharge and a new compressor and everything is present! Overall this car runs, drives and handles as she should! January 12, 2008. |
