Posted 07/31/2016 Have had this Corvette over 4 years, just started stripping paint down a few months ago. Was going to have it painted back to the original yellow. It has a built 406 that was in my camaro which someone ran into the rear on it. When I got the car it didn't have the original motor so made sense to throw in a 500 plus hp 406 that I had sitting in the camaro, since I couldn't drive it vs the generic low HP 350 that was in it. Has MSD ignition, MSD boxes, MSD rev limiter set at 8000. Everything in the driveline is new with less then a 1,000 miles on it. Rear end is 3:73 gears, turbo 350 trans with shift kit (cable needs adjustment). Bilstein shocks all around, adjustable struts on rear, original style leaf spring on rear for durability. Car starts right away, drives, stops etc. Just needs alignment on rear from swapping rear end. 406 has aluminum team G intake, Holley double pumper, MSD distributors and wires, electric fuel pump tied into ignition, forged high compression pistons, forged crank and rods, double hump heads have been ported and have bigger valves. Has a 3500 stall converter which is very streetable. All lights work, radio, speakers in rear, speedometer does not work, needs seats but rest of interior is nice. Passenger side window doesn't go all the way up unless pulled up. Aluminum Champion 3 row radiator, new radiator support. As stated it does need alignment since rear end and spring install plus shifter cable adjustment. |
