2) 1969 Chevy Corvette Pro-Street. The 69’ pro-street Vette may be the most unique vehicle I have ever owned. This very special car has just undergone a complete restoration/ build. I bought the car being 96% complete by a true Corvette top-flight builder that spent five plus years building this vehicle. The car was very nice but was not built for most people. The interior room left after the rear suspension upgrade for the huge steamroller set of Mickey’s was not acceptable. The interior had been altered in a way that only would accommodate a very small person. Once the car arrived, I took the car to a very well known Pro Mod builder Rob Matheis. www.matheisracecars.com Rob and his crew redesign the car to fit a normal size adult. I then had the entire interior completed by Jerry, at Sew Fine Interiors. www.sewfineinteriors.com. The entire job has now been completed and the car is now ready for any national show or local event. This vehicle has all the ammunition to kill the rest of the competition. To start with, the vehicle started out as a true frame off restoration. The original undamaged straight body was stripped all the way down and was prepped for a very slick Daytona Yellow paint job. The rest of the exterior was completed with all new parts, from the grille, bumpers, emblems and anything else you can see. The chassis was detailed and the suspension was upgraded and restored with all new components. The brakes were also restored and upgraded with factory 6 piston disc up front and Wilwood disc added to the fully fabricated 9” rear end with a billet center section. The externally cooled 400 Turbo transmissions was build to handle the huge amount of horsepower and was fitted with a trans brake and a high stall converter. The engine compartment now has a whopping “539 Cubic Inch” Aluminum head Big Block. The engine was built with very high end components including, Oliver rods, Roller Cam, Gear Drive, 10.5:1 pistons, Holley 1050 Dominator and 4” Hooker side pipes with Sweet Thunder 2.5” inserts. The entire package creates one awesome sound and a truly one of a kind ride experience. That’s not it though, the front of the engine has a complete set of billet pulleys that run all the components, including a new Vintage A/C kit. As mentioned earlier, the entire interior is new from the Dynomat sound and heat barrier to the dash pad. The 19” wide seats are from Kirky but have been fitted with custom made camel covers to match the rest of the interior. There is even a new steering column from Flaming River that has been cut and modified 5” to help make room for the bigger tummy guys, like my self. Also inside there are power windows and a set of complete Auto meter gages. The car has less than 100 miles since total completion and is truly awesome to look at or drive.
