1974 Corvette (PROJECT) I bought this car to restore, but it needs more than I can handle. The odometer reads 04818, but I am sure it has 104818 on it. The clear Indiana title shows 0M (Exempt). This car is a NON-RUNNING PROJECT. It needs LOTS of WORK! I will try the describe the car as good as possible. The Interior: Not too bad. Carpet, instrument panel, dash, is in good shape. Door panels are dry and need replaced. Seats are very usable. They need new padding and the trim on the drivers seat is coming loose. Console needs shifter cover plate. Side pieces toward the dash is missing. I would think that the whole thing needs replaced. The Engine and Transmission: (NON-RUNNING) Looks like the original L-82 350/250hp, But I don't know for sure. No exhaust. Automatic Trans TH400 The Frame and Suspension : Frame has surface rust only in areas, looks good over all. Suspension also has surface rust. The Axles look like they were replaced at one time, they still have the stickers on them. Brakes don't work at all. I do not have the original rims. All the body mounts and suspension bushings look like they need replaced. I would guess that by the looks of the surface rust on everything, that the car has not seen the road in over 20 years. The Body: NEEDS A LOT OF WORK!! The body parts are straight and the gaps look good. Tops look very good . Many missing parts and some parts don't match the year. The hood is not correct (no vents in cowl). Rear bumper cover is not correct. The doors have two different types of mirrors. And the doors do have rust on them. The passenger side inter frame work is the worst. It may need replaced (see pic). Windshield is cracked. Needs replaced. All other glass is good, but someone had Roses etched into the corners? Needs stripped and repainted. The nose, were the bumper cover attaches is the worst. The fiberglass needs a lot of work in this area. Someone drilled holes in the back for a spoiler. NO left headlight assembly. No trim below passenger side door. I do have a NEW gas tank and New fiberglass front bumper cover included.
