| Fairly nice driver quality 1969 Corvette coupe that I just recently took as a trade in and don't have the time to put back original and just decided to try and sell it like it is. Upon trading for this Vette I drove it home aprox.60 miles. It hits the road smooth drives and handles great. No heating problems and has NO major mechanical problems. It has a non matching number 350 with a 4 speed trans. No leaks rattles or funny noises. The paint on this car is is aprox. 15+ years old and is what I consider driver quality. It looks showtime from 10 feet away and awesome in the pics, But the truth is it does have some flaws NOT visible in the pics and it is NOT perfect. When you get upon the car you will see some fine cracks in the paint and a few chips here and there and it can be picked. The car was sprayed with a red base coat but it does appear someone has added some pink pearl tint to the clear. Though it may look red in the pics. It sort of changes colors with the lighting and walking around it BUT the moral of the story is the car DOES show a pink tint in person!!! The interior is in fairly good condition that I would also rate driver quality. The door panels seat covers dash and carpet all show good. the console has a crack around the emergency brake handle and the emergency brake does not work along with the factory tach, radio, clock and battery gauges!!! Also the head light doors do not open and I do not have time to see why. The frame and bird cage on this car IS extremely solid and it does NOT show any signs of rust or undercoating. This car has a brand new set of hooker showtube side pipes and all of the glass, emblems, lenses and bezels look good. The front and rear bumpers and tag bracket show their age. This is NOT a perfect flawless show car but it is not priced $25-$35K show car money! It is a good solid car that you can drive and enjoy and fix up along the way! 92,512 miles. April 15, 2010. |
