Posted 10/27/2016 Head-turning professional customization over 20 years ago. Pearl white with indigo blue accents and lower panels. Later year Vette with alloy wheels and steering wheel. Glass moon roof T-Tops plus original T-Tops. Stainless steel (SS) 4-caliper brakes. Holley carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, SS exhaust system all balanced without OEM emissions controls. 46,558 Vettes were made in 1976. This Vette options include: L82 (5,720 made; 12 percent of total) 4 speed manual M21 Transmission (only 2,088 made) 4 percent of total, Black leather interior (7,826 made) The optional L-82 engine returned some of the high performance of Vettes prior to the 1972 regulations. The factory option included: 4-bolt crankshaft main bearings, forged aluminum pistons, high performance cam, 9:1 compression ratio, aluminum valve covers and more creating 210 Hp. The L-82 is the base that permits the additional free breathing intake and exhaust modifications without the loss of durability which the GM small blocks are noted for. Added to this L-82 by a professional rod shop is the above noted SS exhaust, Holley carb and Edelbrock intake manifold creating a more powerful sports car with better drivability and response. The 1976 public wanted a Boulevard cruising Corvette, witnessed by only 4 percent of the Vettes sold had manual transmissions. This C3 third generation Vette is a sports car, like the earlier C2 Vettes, but with improved comfort and for much less money than a comparable pre-1968 Vette. Enjoy driving this completely functional Corvette with the special full participation that only a manual transmission and High Performance American V8 can bring!!!
