This is not a show car. I rec'd the car as part of a swap/barter deal with a friend, and just want to turn it into $$ to pay for other projects. This car was recently pulled from a garage / car port where it was neglected for the past 2 years. With a new battery and a couple gallons of gas it started right up, no smoke, no rattles or clattering, and drove out of the shop. Everything seems to work except the clock, and of course it needs the obligatory brake job, fronts seem to be working but no evidence of rear brakes at all. Tires hold air, everything seems to be there except a few interior trim parts around the t-tops. The right top is cracked, Shown in photos, and the tops are from a '78, mirrored glass, but of course can be replaced with same or factory fiberglass panels like the '77 should have. New carpet and seats for '77 will be listed separately at a later date, they were recently installed in a '71 and are to be removed to put correct parts in the '71. Body is in overall good condition with only minor imperfections, most too small to show in photos. I'm sure it would get a complete repaint if for no other reason than poor color combination. The car is about a 30 footer as is. Exhaust is all there, minor leak at joint from "Y' pipe to single exhaust pipe at front. Engine starts and runs very well, 40+ psi oil pressure at idle, no evidence of overheating. Transmission goes quickly into forward and reverse gears, no noises in drivetrain, although I have not attempted highway driving since the brakes are questionable and we're in the middle of a blizzard in Wisconsin. Newer gas shocks on front, still have paint and decals on the bodies of the shocks. I will be changing all fluids, filters, etc. and add anything I learn to the listing, I expect no surprises. RH headlight is a bit sticky, I removed actuator rod from mechanism, and sprayed lube on moving parts, actuator is free and appears to be OK. LH headlight moves as it should, and RH will work properly within a few days. Bottom Line -- If you want an inexpensive Corvette, this is your car. Drive it while you improve it, or buy it and sell off the trim pieces and have a really fun clean track day car. I've disclosed everything I know, if you have specific questions, I'll do all I can to answer them. Delivery is possible within 1 day drive of central Wisconsin. Call to pre-arrange and quote delivery. Frame is Solid, with only surface rust, the w/s frame below "A" pillar shows some flaking, but does not appear to be serious, approx area a couple of inches long 4" below Vin tag. The only driveability issue I know of is the brakes. If winning bidder would like, I'll have the brakes done prior to pick-up and the car can be driven to confirm that it runs and drives soundly.
