1) This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has been restored with everything you could want, including shiny modern paint, custom bodywork, four-on-the floor, and a fuel-injected 383 stroker V8. And when you realize that this speed machine is priced less than other (less powerful) Stingrays, you know this is one heck of a droptop deal. You can instantly tell there is something unique about this convertible. It starts up front where the chrome bumper has been removed, and a custom body molding has been put in its place. Below that is a bright custom grille that gives this Corvette the look of some of the best Pontiac concept cars from the '60s (yes, it's that distinctive.) On the sides you have the sleeker duct design of the later C3s. But in the rear is arguably the most unique piece. By eliminating the chrome bumpers and adding a custom license plate panel, the rear almost resembles its sting ray animal namesake. And more than just the custom work, there is a crispness that keeps this Corvette attracting attention. There has been a solid investment in a modern metallic red and a professional hand applying it - and that took place less than 2,000 miles ago! So there is an outstanding luster that highlights the quality of the body and how well the custom elements have been integrated. Even the details are great, like the bright Rally wheels and how blacked-out rocker panels match nicely with the crisp black folding top. And if you like the way the black top looks, then you'll love the all-black interior, too. The seats, carpeting, door panels, and center console all have a freshness that tells you there was a nice investment here. Corvettes have always been a great personal sports car in providing performance features with plenty of creature comforts to make it a great long-distance cruiser. As the driver, you get a three-spoke sports steering wheel. It gives you a clear view at the large dual pod gauges for the speedo and tach, and just to the side are a full set of auxiliary readouts. You even have an updated AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input to keep you entertained. But we know it's the high-octane symphony that you control with your foot and right hand that's your true favorite soundtrack. This one has a nice big block hood, and it earns that performance image in its own special way. After all, the 383 cubic-inch stroker motor is nearly as large as the big blocks. And with the addition of the FAST fuel-injection system, it gives you a far better performance response. This robustness is heightened even further because there is less than 2,000 miles on the whole build. That's why you also have fresh supporting components like the aluminum radiator, and the great-looking matching set of valve covers and air topper. This Stingray fires up with a ferocious growl thanks to the long tube headers that feed the dual exhaust. And the four-speed manual transmission gives you full control to dial in the speed and sound of this high-performance machine. But more than just brute force, this 'Vette understands the backroads thanks to the fully independent sports suspension, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and new BF Goodrich T/As. Someone invested heavily in making sure this C3 was a distinct, bright, and fast droptop.
