Car history:
This car would make a great father/son project or is a great start for someone wanting to do a full restoration. The 71 is the fourth year of the C3 series with chrome bumpers front and rear, 72 being the last year. These cars are very desirable and when fully restored can bring upwards of $50,000. The car runs and drives but doesn't stop well...Brakes need to be bled or calipers rebuilt. Engine sounds strong but due to brake situation I have not driven it up to speed, just around my property. I bought the car intending to restore it but have come to realize I just don't have the time so am willing to pass it on to another Corvette lover. The car had an aftermarket front clip installed on it at some time. It was long gone when I got the car. I believe it was a Maco Shark front clip due to the Motion Performance stickers on the rear glass. There are aftermarket front clips available new for $1,500. The gauges are clear and the bezels are not cracked or broken. Seats are intact but would need new covers as the velour is a little out of style now.. The engine has a Edelbrock Manifold, Holley carb, and headers on it and sounds healthy. Transmission shifts into drive, reverse, etc... I have all the interior trim pieces for the car as well as the rear valance and bumpers. The gas tank has a leak so will probably need to be replaced. Both doors have good glass in them and cranks work. I have a new windshield which will go with the car. From what I can tell the frame looks to be in good shape. The car comes with a free and clear title. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is A21. For sale at $3,500 with no reserve. July 21, 2015.
