1970 Corvette Stingray Chrome bumpered T-Top coupe, removable rear window Garage kept for the 24 years I have owned it. 454cid (#TO 826 CGV) non matching numbers 750 cfm Holley Carburetor (0-3310), Edelbrock intake manifold Hurst 4-speed transmission New Thrush Turbo exhaust system, complete Power windows, power brakes, air conditioning Rear window defogger Traction lock differential New cockpit heat barrier, underlayment and carpet New interior in dark saddle brown New weather stripping (Corvette Rubber Company) New brakes Engine professionally restored New battery New fuel tank to OEM spec, including new fuel sending unit New Bilstein shocks Rear window storage tray Car cover, factory storage sleeves for T-tops Clear Title
GM built only 10,668 coupes during the strike-shortened 1970 model year.
What the car needs: Paint. I have elected not to have the car painted as I expect the new owner will have their own preference on exterior color and a paint job would add significantly to the price. Focus has been on the cars mechanicals. The new owner will need to be comfortable troubleshooting various systems.
Summary: Powerful and really fun to drive, this 1970 C3 has great bones. The chrome bumpered C3 Stingray continues to appreciate. 1970 was the high water mark for what has become a classic and collectible muscle car. A super fun project during these crazy Covid times. |
