| Car history: |
This car is a red 1975 Corvette Stingray with a Borg Warner T-10 4 speed manual transmission. This ‘75 Corvette Stingray has T-Tops. It has the L-48 350 cubic inch V8 engine and dual cherry bomb mufflers for the exhaust, the engine is original and numbers matching and has 114k miles. The transmission is also original and numbers matching. The catalytic converter was removed at some time in the past before I owned the car (and it is not required because it is a pre-1976 vehicle, also not required because car is registered as historic and requires no inspection). The engine runs great with absolutely no problems. The transmission shifts smoothly. The interior and exterior are in great shape and there is NO RUST on the frame rails or the birdcage. The headlights both pop up together and immediately. This car is currently utilized as a weekend driver (not my primary means of transportation). It could easily be enjoyed in this capacity or as a daily driver. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere! I have made several trips that involved greater than an hour of driving with absolutely no problems! Below is a list of new or newer parts for the car:
Tires Clutch Leather Seats Brakes Battery New car cover with lock
I also have a new set of locks that I never installed on the car for the doors, engine, and alarm. The car also has a Sony AM/FM/CD player (with an aux in that will accept a MP3 player or iPod) and aftermarket speakers in the back, power brakes, power steering, 4-speed manual transmission, factory air conditioning, and rally wheels.
Only a small percentage of classic Corvettes have a manual transmission! Most sold here on eBay do not!
As with all Corvettes from this era, this car has a four barrel carb and positraction rear end!
This car is EARLY 1975, which means the floor pans are fiberglass, not metal, so they will never rust, it's impossible! Corvette switched to metal floor pans in mid 1975.
I have recently taken this car on several trips that involved more than an hour of driving with no problems whatsoever and I would drive this car anywhere. The engine temp is solid and doesn’t move or overheat even sitting in traffic and the oil pressure is equally as good. This car has no leaks and runs great. The car shifts great and always gets compliments wherever I drive her.
The only thing wrong with the car is that the parking brake needs to be adjusted because it currently does not hold. The parking brake cable is at the end of its adjustment and needs to be replaced. When I park the car, I just put it in gear and it never moves, even on an incline! This is the reason I have not replaced the parking brake cable yet.
The A/C also needs to be charged, with it on you feel air that is just slightly cooler than the outside temperature. The clock also does not work. All other gauges work great!
As you can see in the pictures, the paint is in good shape and is very presentable, but is not show quality. There are a few minor blemishes, but none that can be noticed from more than 6 feet away. These include a few small chips and a few very small bubbles. They are all so small that my camera has a hard time picking them up! Red is the factory color and this car was repainted the same factory color a few years ago (before I owned the car). Black is also the factory interior color.
You can also go to http://seventyfivecorvetteforsale.blogspot.com/ to see more pictures and videos of the car that are high quality. You may have to click on the link to 'view all posts' in order to see all pictures and video. The video was taken in HD and the pictures were taken with a 10.1 megapixel camera!

This car is described as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. Keep in mind that it is a 35 year old car! The car is sold with no warranty and is sold “as- is.” I am also available to show the car if you would like to come see it and drive it in person. I am located in southern Maryland, about an hour east of Washington DC; about an hour and fifteen minutes south of Annapolis, MD. E-mail or call for directions if you would like to see the car in person!
The only reason that I am selling the car is because I am in the military, just had a baby (well my wife did), and am getting ready to move to the other coast! It turns out that you can’t fit a carseat in a Corvette and it’s awful hard for me to drive three cars across country myself!
