| Car history: |
1) All numbers matching. L46 350/350 4 speed. PB, PS, PW, AM/FM Stereo, and shoulder harness. Car has been body on restored to NCRS standards maybe a bit better in terms of paint. Have not had judged. Runs perfect. Note that the serial number is a little before NCRS guidelines indicate the later style ignition shield. When I purchased the corvette the only part of the original shielding on the motor were the supports. The supports appeared original with correct bolts and with original paint. I opted to believe the car. I have added a pic of the engine bay pre-restoration showing the supports. White with standard black interior and black top. New BC/CC paint in original Classic White. Car was originally purchased in Oregon and lived most of its life in Texas. As rust free as you will find. The frame is original and immaculate. Chassis is very detailed with almost all correct hardware and finishes. Original Engine with original engine pad showing correct numbers. Original M20 completely rebuilt including shifter. Original Differential Rust free and treated with RPM. (Rust Prevention Magic). Original Carb with Julian Date rebuilt. Original Alternator rebuilt. Original Distributor rebuilt. (Has small shield inside distributor for later style shielding). Correct coil. Correct Water Pump including Date. Correct Starter rebuilt by John Pickle. Correct Exhaust Manifolds Jet Hot Coated. (Dates are not correct). Original rebuilt 5 port windshield wiper motor and washer pump. All vacuum valves and canisters are original and rebuilt with correct plating by NCRS member. Original TT steering column rebuilt and detailed with mint comfort grip steering wheel. NOS horn button and emblem. Correct jack. Correct Original Rocker Panels with Tabs. Original correct trim rings. They are not perfect but pretty nice for their age. (Extra set not as nice goes with the corvette). You will get a good original RC 15 radiator cap and original gas cap. They both need to be restored correctly. Plating was done wrong on the gas cap and RC15 is a nice survivor if you choose. The entire rear suspension was rebuilt and detailed including trailing arms. Stamped trailing arms with date. Trailing Arms are powder coated and are the original trailing arms. All parts correctly plated and detailed. Entire front suspension was rebuilt using ALL GM parts including lower ball joints correctly riveted. Upper ball joints are original.. Nicely detailed with correct hardware and finishes according to NCRS guidance. Dust shields re-plated. Caliper supports re-plated. Brand new NOS idler arm. Correct GM upper and lower control arm bushings. Wiring has been replaced. Front was NOS GM harness. Rear and PW harness by M&H. Engine harness by M&H. We reused connectors where replacement connectors were not correct like for the yellow starter wire lug. All gauges completely rebuilt and calibrated. Dash bulbs replaced. AM/FM Stereo refurbished. NOS engine data plate. Window mechanisms disassembled, cleaned and lubricated. (No rust, all original door parts). Power steering has been completely rebuilt with best parts available including pump. I have original hoses for judging except for low pressure hose. Even the PS cylinder dust cap is correct. Radiator has been re-cored with correct core using original tanks. I have radiator tags and they are in nice shape. All new u joints with no zerk fittings. Includes driveshaft and half shafts. Driveshaft and half shafts detailed. Driveshaft has correct stenciled on part number. Everything works as it should. The clock is quartz movement. Gauges were all rebuilt calibrated and detailed. Only items in interior not original GM are the carpets, seat covers and pillar post pieces. Interior is close to perfect. Shoulder Harness webbing redone by Snake Oyl with original date tags. Have two correctly dated rally wheels. Wheels currently on are reproduction with almost new radial T/As 225 70 15. It will come with some extra parts and some original documents at this price. I do not have the original Protect-O-Plate. Tank sticker is in a baggy in pieces as it was in terrible shape. Nothing was legible. I have an original 70 Consumer information booklet and original owners manual in plastic bag. Only major item not addressed is the top that is in pretty decent shape with nice clear rear window. Top has very minor wear on drivers side and is not NCRS. Car is available for test drive and inspection. Front grills are original 70 grills with all studs fully intact. This is one of the nicest 70 Corvette Convertibles you will likely see. No bid at starting $38,875 on August 1, 2017. Motor suffix code is V0423CTH. Seen on 1970corvetteregistry.org, on July 31 2010. |
