2) Selling for my fellow elder American is this very cool and fun BIG BLOCK 1969 Corvette Convertible... Boy is this car a blast and it sure can light those nice rear tires.. As shown the black interior is in very nice condition...The drivers seat is worn on the side as shown.. Great sounding stereo with CD ... The BIG BLOCK 8 cylinder engine starts and runs wonderful... Smooth shifting 4 speed manual transmission..... This bright red Corvette looks, runs and drives great.... Lots of fun and crappy on gas.. The body and paint are all in clean condition..... Really nice tires all around on the factory steel wheels... I think this car came from the factory with a small block 327 and was converted to a big block.. I do not know if it is a 427 or a 454 and Paul can't remember way back when he purchased the car what he was told.. It's big and fast ... Sounds great too.... I have shown pictures of all of the engine numbers I could locate.. Nice tan convertible top that has only been up twice since Paul has owned the car.. The stock steering wheel comes along with the car but if you are a bit wide in the gerth that the one on it makes for easy entry and exit... There is a piece of trim that is loose on the drivers door as shown and the vacume operated door that covers the wipers now works only by hand.. This is a great start for an easy fixer upper to drive, enjoy and perfect.. If you are in the market for a very nice running and driving big block older corvette, this might just be it... Clear Mass title in hand so ready to tranfer when needed. 97,398 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is B09. April 2, 2012. 1) 1969 Corvette Convertible with 83k original miles. Bright Red exterior, with a black leather interior and white convertible top. 454 Big Block attached to a 4-speed manual. This car has not seen much drive time since it was purchased in 1986. A Sunday car was driven every other Sunday for about 3 months out of the year, achieving around 3000 miles on the engine and transmission since they were rebuilt in 1992. This Vette has always been garaged and always under a car cover; never saw snow or rain. Functional: Power steering (with new valve), power windows both work, power brakes with 4 new calipers (2008), luggage rack, new front springs and shocks (within 5 years), vacuum operated headlights work fine. Drivetrain: 454 Big Block. Muncie M21 Transmission. Again, both were rebuilt in 1992. Engine Specifics: Mild cam, steel crank, flat top pistons, heavy-duty pushrods, Edlebrock manifold, M/T valve covers, new Holly 750/ 4bbl carb (2006), ACCEL HEI ignition with new wires and chrome looms, chrome headers with sidepipes. Sidepipes are in fair condition and the chrome still shines, but the passenger pipe does have a hole that has been repaired. Chassis: NO ROT OR RUST. As stated before this car has been garaged kept for the last 23 years. Exterior: Although not original paint (done in1986), it is in very good condition. The hood is an L88 to accommodate the big block and I have the original hood as well. The body does have a few flaws, most notably are the two front fenders at the top of the wheel well. The fiberglass has cracked on both sides in the same spot but is still intact. Interior: All black. Seats are in good condition with a scuff mark on the driver's seat left side, as well a seam separation on the left side. Passenger seat has no problems. All gauges work with the exception of the clock. The needles of the speedometer and RPM gauges have fallen off but I have another unit to go with the car. Overall this is a great classic car in great condition for an almost 40 year old vehicle. It does have some flaws and is not in perfect condition. 83,802 miles. May 27, 2008. |
