Car history: |
One of only 102 cars made with the MA6 option. This is a rare find Corvette in impeccable condition and has undergone a complete and full frame off restoration. The paint is absolutely beautiful and correct. The body on this car is one of the best we have seen. It has all the original GM body panels and all bonding strips are in place. This car looks as if it just rolled off the GM assembly line, just better. There are no excuses on this car. Look over the photos and see for yourself, this is an amazing piece of history and one of the finest examples of perfection. You just dont see many big blocks with all the options and documents. Corvettes like this rarely surface on the open market! They usually go from collector to collector without ever being on the open market. Now is your chance to own the real deal, investment quality, unusually equipped, documented, restored and ready for NCRS judging 427/435 hp 1969 Corvette Convertible! The following is a brief story line of the history of this Corvette; Imagine this, it is late summer 1969, you are 27 years old and working at your fathers dealership. Youve actually worked at the dealership since you were 8 years old and have finally saved up enough to buy your dream Corvette. The Chevrolet zone manager has told you about a 460 horse power LS7 that will be available on the 1970 Corvette. You put your order in for one and hear back in a few weeks that this engine will not be offered after all. Disappointed you ponder on what to do next. Your fathers health is failing, the new freeway is bypassing your town, and it is doubtful that Dad will be able to run the dealership much longer. Chevrolet has extended the 1969 model year, only time this has ever happened, so you decide to go ahead and order a new 1969 corvette. You know exactly how you want your car equipped and the order is written up to your specifications. Color: 976AA- Lemans Blue, Trim: 411=BB/V, G81- positraction with 370 ratio, Interior: 411- Bright Blue Vinyl, J50- power brakes, A01- soft ray tinted glass, K66-transistor ignition, A31- power windows, L71- 427/435hp turbo jet, C05- white convertible top, MA6- heavy duty clutch, C07- auxiliary hard top, M21- 4-speed close ratio, N37- tilt-telescopic wheel, N40- power steering, PT7- white striped F70 15 tires, PO2- special wheel covers, TJ2- Front fender louver trim, UA6- alarm, U69- AM- FM push button radio. On December 22, 1969 you take delivery of your special order 1969 Corvette. This is the best Christmas ever! Your dream car is now real and parked in your garage. You love this car and are its keeper for 21 years and 60,000 miles. You never let your dream ride leave the dry, salt free states of New Mexico and Arizona. In 1992 you reluctantly decide it is time for someone else to take over the stewardship of S737710. The car leaves New Mexico and goes to California. The next keeper continues the stewardship for 11 years. Owner 2 has the car completely restored during his final years of ownership. The car is restored to NCRS specifications and then sold to another Californian collector in 2003. It was kept covered up in his collection until now. The above scenario is documented with written owner testimony, Tank sticker, protect-o-plate, GM Corvette owners card, original title, Owners manual, registrations, and more.
