DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS LOOKING MILLE MIGLIA RED 1972 CORVETTE STINGRAY CONVERTIBLE, ALL MATCHING NUMBERS (MOTOR/TRANNY/REAR) EQUIPPED WITH 350CI MOTOR AND 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, WITH 95K MILES SHOWING ON THE ODOMETER THAT IS ABSOLUTELY TURN-KEY. Factory Options: Manual steering, Non power disc brakes, 350ci v8 motor, 4 speed manual Transmission, Stock 15" rally wheels, Standard Bucket seat interior, Luggage rack. Vehicle comes from Virginia, where it has been owned by previous collector for the last few years. This 72 Stingray as you can see has a different nose on it, believed to be from a 75, along with later model hood. There was some light fiberglass damage to the original nose over 20 years ago and the owner at the time decided to put on a late model nose. In the last couple of years, the car has been completely refurbished with: NEW paint/bodywork, NEW convertible top & pads, NEW interior (seat foam, seat covers, e-brake cover, carpet, dash pad, etc.), motor and transmission have been freshened up by machine shop not too long ago with some new internal components but remain virtually all stock as you can see, NEW wheels/tires, NEW exhaust/mufflers, NEW brake parts, some new suspension parts here and there and LOTS more. Overall a total of over $15k was spent on the car in labor alone. Interior is in EXCELLENT condition with only very minor general wear. Nothing really to speak of except for having upgraded door panels later model Corvette and some general wear on the console and shift plate. Overall a beautifully presentable high-end driver quality interior. Under the hood lies the original MATCHING NUMBERS 350ci motor with that is 100% stock with factory distributor shielding and finned aluminum valve covers. Transmission and rear end are also MATCHING NUMBERS. LOTS of stock power overall and brakes stop VERY WELL. Nice and solid with excellent suspension & shocks all around. Exhaust sounds great and it has the stock exhaust tips as well. Underside is pretty CLEAN with EXCELLENT frame, good floors and SOLID birdcage and windshield pillars with NO RUST. Paint shines up BEAUTIFULLY for a nice higher-end driver. Body very straight and clean. Only very light imperfections from driving. Missing firewall vacuum canister, hood release cable and a couple of small interior trim pieces. Not working: clock, horn, speedometer (needs new cable) and perhaps a light or two could use new bulbs. Front section has three holes on each side from previously mounted lower spoiler from later model Corvette. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. 95,201 miles. October 20, 2009. |
