1980 Chevrolet Corvette. Bright yellow in color with a cream/off white leather interior. Let me get in all the words that are overused in eBay listings out of the way. Rare, unique, one of a kind, hard to find, I am sure there are more that I am not thinking of at the moment but any of you that read very many of these listings will know what I am talking about. With that said lets face facts, this year of vette is none of them, they are pretty common because way too many of them survived. What this car is, its a very nice example of a survivor that does not have any signs of abuse. It is not perfect but that is good for most people because lets face facts how many people want to spend money on trailer queens. From what I can tell it has been repainted at some time but was well done, and lets be honest most GM cars from that time needed it. The only problems with the paint is someone tried to park by the feel method and the tip of the nose has a small chip and it is spider-webbed a little around it. And the left rear quarter has two very small chips that have been touched up. The interior is in good shape, no rips tears or anything like that, but it does need a good cleaning. The drivers side sun visor is broke off as you can see in the pictures. It is in the car but I dont know if you can just buy the bracket or if you will have to get a whole new one. It has the mirrored T-tops, and the drivers side does have a crack in it, it can be felt from the inside but not the outside so I do not know if it would leak or not, but lets face fact this probably would be a fair weather driver for most people and it does not show from the outside. The AC vent by the drivers left knee is missing as can be seen in the pictures. The odometer is showing 76,097 at this time, the title showed 74,970 when the previous owner bought it on 9/22/05. The Indiana title is stamped not actual on the miles, and for anybody that has had the joy of dealing with the Indiana BMV will know that anything that has a five digit odometer and of this age requires about a truck load of paperwork to keep them from stamping them this way. Mechanically everything seems to be in pretty good working order, the power windows are not the fastest in the world but they do work. And the headlights are a little on the lazy side sometimes. The only thing that seems to have a real issue is the blower motor. It makes a very loud strange noise sometimes. When it is not making the noise and you play with the switch it doesnt work every time on every setting. But if you move it around it will come on at every setting. From the pictures you will be able to tell that it has quite a bit of chrome on it. According to the previous owner the engine was totally rebuilt and probably does not have 2500 miles on it. I have no paperwork to back this up so do what you want with that information. He also said that he put larger brake calipers on it, from looking at them you can tell they are not the originals about being bigger can't say one way or the other. What I can say is the rotors have plenty of meat on them and the pads look brand new. And while driving it, when you stop it has no shimmy or shaking going on.
