Car history:
Painted in July 15 with Sherwin Williams base-clear and wet sanded / buffed. Color is 2014-15 Corvette Cyber Gray Metallic. The entire interior was replaced or restored. Non-tilt steering column; therefore, I used a smaller, 14 steering wheel. I did not like the 350 hood; therefore, I installed an OEM big-block hood.
Stereo / alarm: I installed Viper alarm system. I replaced original head unit with Custom Audio Sound unit to accommodate amplifiers. Old-school Rockford 800a2 powers 12 sub. Old-school Rockford 600a4 power (x6) JL component speakers. I eliminated the quarter antenna (to clean the body line) and added a hideaway antenna to the windshield.
Paul and Rich (Don's Speed Shop, Newington, CT) adjusted the carb and timing; otherwise, I refurbished or replaced every single nut and bolt on this vehicle. For around two decades, I have made one-of-a-kind vehicles during my spare time. There is nothing left for me to do with this beautiful car; therefore, I am looking for a 1971 Series Rover, 1962 Corvette or 1967 Camaro for my next project. (Please do not waste my time with silly offers or other partial trades.)
This car was built to be driven. It handles and rides fantastic. The gearing allows 15+ MPG on highway at ~65 MPH. If you have the money, this car will make you smile.
Frame-off, complete restoration. Frame stripped and refinished. All of the suspension was refurbished or replaced. Original rearend was replaced with 3:08 positraction. Body stripped to the glass and three coats of epoxy primer applied. Non-original, new power steering rack installed. Front and rear sway bars.
Engine: 350 / 290 HP crate GM motor installed in March. Edelbrock Performer intake with Holley 650 Carburetor. 140Amp, heavy-duty alternator (from QuickStart) installed to power the stereo amplifiers. Crane Cams XR-i ignition module replaced points.
No air conditioning. New LARGER, OEM / non-original radiator installed.
Trans: Rebuilt, original 4-speed manual gearbox. Everything relating to the clutch was replaced when I installed new motor.
Brakes: 4-wheel disc w/o a booster.
Tires: BF Goodrich Radial TAs new in February. (x5) Rally rims. 59,650 miles. BiN $26,500. August 25, 2015.
