Car history: |
Here we have an excellent FRAME OFF restored to original numbers matching 1971 Chevrolet Corvette T-Top coupe with a 270hp 350 and 4 speed transmission. The car is Brands Hatch Green with a tan interior. This was the original ZIP Products showroom display car with the mint chassis by their parts counter and the body across the room on a stand. I purchased the car to display in my Precision Valley Corvette Museum as a chassis with the body hovering above it.
No expense was spared in this frame off restoration. Every mechanical component including the engine were completely torn down and rebuilt to original specifications.
The interior is new along with every chassis component, complete front to back genuine GM wiring harnesses including fiber optics, brakes, clutch, radiator, water pump, alternator, starter, complete vacuum system, gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines, master cylinder, axles, mint set of original NOS Firestone F70-15 WIDE O OVAL polyester tires, engine shielding, battery, etc, etc....
This car runs and drives perfectly. There is a bubble and a crack in the hand rubbed paint and I just accidentally cracked the corner of the windshield but just cannot find the energy to deal with replacing it. The chassis is mint right down to the correct polished nuts and bolts.
The vehicle is available for inspection just off exit 8 on I-91 in Southern Vermont. This car has not been registered since 1980. It has been a museum/Show car since. It starts right up and runs perfectly. This car would take very little to be a very serious show car.
