Car history:
1) 1969 427 Corvette, 4sp, T-roofs, 57,802 original miles, has block matching numbers, some work has already been done, restored frame underneath, new brake lines, new gas lines, painted black, freshened up interior, new carpet, sills, seat backings, alot more new parts, needs some more work to finish, has drivers paint some bubbling, engine runs strong and smooth, tranny shifts as it should, clutch is perfect, has wide fenders at the back to got those wide 295/50 R15's, gives it a nice fat stance from the back, fronts are 235/60 R15, also has pop out rear window for a more open feel. I explained it as best I could.
Things needed and more information about this car:
- This Vette has block matching casting numbers, does not have VIN# stamp numbers on front head, so I cant confirm VIN matching numbers. It is the correct 427 engine for this year with the block matching numbers, that runs very smooth.
- Paint Lemans blue is correct, interior Black was changed from blue to black .
Things it needs:
- Headlights and wiper bezel remain up and not working, seems to have a leak in vacuum lines .
-engine runs smooth and strong , needs a tune up to run and idle properly.
- all new copper brake lines and calipers were installed, lines need to be bleeded as it has spongy brake pedal, it was bleeded once but might have built up more air.
- tail lights remain on, radio tape deck is not working, there is speaker wire running to the back to add more speakers.
- rims need restoration and rear tires will need changing as they have been on for over 10 yrs and have some cracking.
- it has drivers paint some parts have been repainted like hood, door. Some areas show some bubbling, paint is still very shinny and shows well.
- undercarriage was restored so looks very nice with new gas & brake lines and others.
- interior was freshened up with all interior was taken out new floor carpets were installed, new door sill plates, new seat backings, doors and seats were freshened up and looks very nice, there is a crack 5 inches roughly on dash that needs repair.
- I have a new electric Fuel pump to go with car as the one in it stopped working, easy install at rear under bumper of car.
- Again For those inquiring about this 427 Engine, its a block matching engine, matching casting numbers verified, meaning it is correct for the year 1969 427 corvette. Engine runs perfect just needs a tune up, car starts and runs great. I ran it myself, very smooth sounding. Carb had all new gaskets replaced. No bid at starting $17,500 on November 4, 2017.
