Car history: |
1968 Corvette Stingray Convertible, 73,457 miles (see pictures of interior). Background history. No record of ever having a title or ever being registered, not reported as a theft or theft recovery. The interior and other areas of this car being so original, lends credibility to the theory that it has neither been licensed nor driven in at least 25 or more years. The poor lighting for these pictures is due to being inside an enclosed trailer. Im getting too old to ever finish all the cars that Ive collected. I purchased this one to provide a front end and many difficult to find parts for a 68 basket case I found years back; (and I haven't touched it since either). What attracted me to this Corvette was the fact that (with the exception of the hood) it still has all the correct original fiberglass including headlight assemblies with even the factory installed stone guards still intact. 1968 corvette Convertible (still having the factory installed power steering and brakes) that has significant rust to the birdcage, top frame, and doors. This car has a ton of correct original parts including the much sought after 1965 through 1968 suspension & Chassis with a frame that has good kicks. Surface and scale rust on the frame will require sandblasting and paint (before installing an engine and automatic transmission...both missing). Describing the hundreds of parts and reasons this car should or shouldnt be parted out is a waste of both my time and yours. January 17, 2010. |
