Car history: |
Matching #'s and parts 327 300hp 4 speed. Paint a 5-6 out of 10 has some light small bubbles spotting on lower sides, a couple of nicks on the driver side edge of the door, one spider wrinkle on hood the size of a half dollar, small scratch on nose, some small spotty road driving dings on lower sides close to the road edge's, one outside grill has a couple of cracks and loose. Motor runs very good, no use of oil, could use some tuning with carb, installed a carb kit last year. Frame is a 9 out of 10 with just surface rust ONLY, absolutely no weak spots. Body is a no hit body with very good lines, I have found some putty in the nose but looks to be something someone added for a crack or ? also has a old repair on the driver side floor about 7"x10" as shown, what they have done is just add some brackets to keep it from cracking out more. The original flooring is still in place. Bird cage is 100% and all mounts, light surface rusting in spots. 9 out of 10. The best history of this car I have is it has been garage kept most of its life, about 20 years ago at 50 or 60K was repainted and motor was re-done. Has a rear control arm shim gone. I have all parts but for original air cleaner. Original top need replaced. I have not tried to get the windshield wipers working but all the parts still in place. Interior, have all parts some out for pics, needs a good clean-up. all gauges work, not sure about clock. Tack is disconnected but working. Newer ball joints and rear control arms, newer u-joints and half shafts. Driving / steering is ok but I think it could be better, looks to need a pitnam or idle arm. This car is a very good candidate for a quick clean up and rust prevention or more and drive. All 8 cylinders have very good compression and are all even. I do not have the old intake. No problems with shifting, trans, or rear. Oil Pressure 40-45 cold 18-22 warm both at 700 rpm. Head lights open good but right one hangs for a sec then pops down,,,right headlight body does have a crack on the lower part. No original valve pans and timing cover. One roof snap gone. Plastic cover over steering column has a cracked out that part of the screw tightens down on. New brake on front and rear, new calipers on front.some air still in lines. HISTORY I have had it for a year and intended on doing the clean-up but just haven't had time, before that the owner had it for 20 years and had added around 20k miles mostly in the early years of his ownership, garage kept, before that the owner had it for some years and restored some of it, paint, new trailing arms and bearings, ball-joints, seats recover. $13,000. 85,838 miles. December 3, 2011. |
