Car history:
Under the hood lies a 327ci motor (CKB suffix code) with automatic transmission that performs well. I had my mechanic tune up the car a little and make sure the carburetor was set up properly for optimum performance. So the car starts up great, idles nicely and drives well, although I would recommend having it gone through before taking it on the road to make sure everything is fine. There are NO knock, or ping in the motor and compression seems good. Interior is in FAIR condition as you can see. Seats have original looking covers on top of the stock vinyl. Carpet is worn and needs replacing throughout. Door panels are presentable, as is the console. Nice dash. The body on the car is fairly straight throughout and does NOT appear to have ever been hit or in any accidents from my initial inspection. Has a nice and SOLID FRAME with no signs of any rot or significant holes anywhere. Good floorboards as well. Being a nearly 40 year old car, it is nowhere near perfect and is what I would consider a project car. Here's a list of things I noticed that it needs. Missing: fan shroud, convertible top assembly (only hardtop), ebrake assembly & console cover, rear carpeting, kick panels, radio, front grill chrome piece (only one side), spare tire & carrier, inner door pulls, backup light lenses. Not working: horn, left signal, wipers, console gauges, heater (bypassed) and a few other small things I'm sure. Side mirror glass cracked. Rear bumpers need brackets and installation (good cores that need rechroming). Tops of front fenders have some air bubbles. Tires need replacing. Carburetor could use rebuild. Brake pedal spongy (calipers leak a little). Small oil/tranny fluid leaks. That's about all I was able to notice at first inspection. 50,228 miles. Updated August 11, 2009.
