Car history:
What you see in the pictures is a garage find 69 Corvette 350/350 4sp 95 percent original car. This car has been sitting idle in a garage for 33 years....not a barn. The garage was enclosed and solid floors. I purchased it from the second owner and he purchased it in 1971 and last drove it in 1983 as the DMV sticker states on the windshield. The odometer reads 69662 miles. He had the car painted sometime between 71 and 83 because of what he said was flaking. It was painted the original color. However it was not put away as a treasure, things were piled on the car and around it. Still it is unmolested and still has a great percentage of the original equipment. What I have changed or repaired on the car is for driving purposes only because from what I see most everything else was preserved rather well just by being where it was. I have replaced all the rubber brake lines front and rear, rebuilt all the calipers which are original to the car and were in perfect condition on the inside. All new seals were installed. The right front caliper and rotor still has the factory markings on them from the assembly line. All the steel lines came loose and are still in very good condition...only one front bleeder valve had to be replaced. The pictures of the caliper shows that they were sleeved by the previous owner sometime in the 1980s. I have removed the master cylinder and rebuilt it also, it also is original to the car notice the PG marking on the front lip even the original boot has Delco on it and the part number on the opposite side. I have flushed all the lines and installed new DOT fluid. I have saved every part replaced.
Fuel: I removed the fuel tank and have the tank sticker for the vehicle, that in itself is in very nice condition. I had to replace the tank with a Spectra tank because the one original to the car had several pin holes in it and it wasn't worth fixing. It could be fixed but on the side of caution I replaced it. I did keep it so it goes with the car. All the fuel lines were flushed. The fuel line from the pump to the filter was cut and from the filter to the carb. My guess... they could get a slip on filter easier than going to the dealer. I have also replace the cut ones with a new filter and stainless lines from the pump to the carb. I removed the carburetor from the car, also original to the car and cleaned it.
Electrical: Removed the points and condenser and installed new.....left the same plugs in. The distributor was removed to prime the oil pump before starting and checked the numbers and they were correct right down to the tag placed there by the manufacture. I replaced the and tried starting it and it started up after a couple of tries after sitting all that time.
I checked for antifreeze and took a plug out of the block and it was as clean as the day it was put in. Took pictures running out.
I believe the exhaust is original except for one mufflers.
The factory tags still are attached to the trans and the radiator.
The car has power windows, which work but need to be taken apart and cleaned, tilt telescopic steering wheel, AM/FM radio, rear window defogger, soft ray tinted glass, audio alarm system. The original spare is still with the car not new but nice. 69,662 miles from the odometer. Ended at $13,099 (RnM) on April 5, 2016.
