Car history:
1) I've decided to sell my Frame Off 1971 Red/Red Corvette Convertible that Ive owned for more than 7 years as we are buying a mountain home. I really hate to do this as I'm very very picky and won't just settle on any corvette and know that I would be hard pressed to find another C-3 in this condition.
I've owned more than 100 corvettes over the past 30 years & when looking for a specific Corvette you begin to look for the cars that are far and few between. You want them to be perfect, as correct as they came from the factory originally & with owner history and original paper work. This one took me several years to find and I know it will please the most discriminating buyers.
That being said, this car is ready for judging and is as close to original as it comes. I have all of the owner history from day one including the tank sheet and restoration receipts. When the car was restored all of the major components were rebuilt and put back on the car. The engine, trans, rear end, distributor, alternator, starter, manifold, heads, carburetor, radiator, expansion tank, exhaust manifold etc. are correct. The body is all original and was stripped down to bare fiberglass.
I have decoded the car and have all of the numbers available in a word document, If interested just asked and I would be happy to provide them.
Not only is this corvette correct with all of the numbers it truly is an original Red Exterior / Red Interior White convertible Top Vette that actual came from the factory with this color combination. The paint is outstanding in every way.
I would go through the list of telling you everything about the condition of the Exterior, Interior, mechanicals, etc. but Im not going to as its all new and fresh! Every Nut and bolt! It truly is in new condition and if seen in person you will agree. The convertible top on the vette was only down when it was installed. Since then its not been dropped so there are no creases, nicks, stains etc. Its perfect. No corners were cut with the restoration and it took several years to complete.
If your looking for the real deal and a C-3 that will go up in value, can be judged, and is in this type of condition I would defiantly look at this one.
I would like to note that even though I haven't driven the corvette hundreds of miles she starts right up and is driven around our neighborhood once a month. I have several pedigree corvettes and this one is one of the nicest of them all next to my 67 Big Block Tri-Power Roadster. The clutch is the only item that may need to be adjusted a bit, it doesn't slip or pop out of gear the pedal is just a bit too far out. $35,100 (RnM) on August 3, 2017.
