Car history:
1969 NON MATCHING NUMBERS 350/350 Blk/Blk, 4-Speed, M-20, 4.11 rear. A Very Nice Driver Corvette. This car has been restored. May not be like the big guys on the West Coast but enjoy it. This car is 39 years old and is not perfect. Personally I like to drive them not look at them in garage. This is a Fun car. Great for weekends, shows, and lots of attention. Only show I entered won second in participants choice. We put on the show so couldn't be judged. Its has Power Windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes,Tilt-Telescopic steering Column. It has air-conditioning and the compressor engages when you plug it in but there is a leak and I've haven't tried to fix it. Really I didn't care. I don't drive it in the rain or when it's hot. Seldom when it's cold. I'm the third owner sinse this car was restored. I don't know if this was a frame off of a frame on. The engine and the car were rebuilt at the same time. I've owned it four and half years. The previous owner had it two years. I have a clear Arkansas Title and copies of the previous two owners Arkansas titles. The first being the one that rebuilt the car. I have no other history on this car. The car has less than 3000 miles since the rebuild. I've put less than 900 miles on it. This car has been either stored or in my garage. Never in the sun or the rain. Only driven to a show or on a club trip on a clear day. I drove it 250 miles round trip last July (club trip) with no trouble at all. Of course I drove it home last week to wash it. Started right up. I have a battery cut off on all my cars. Fresh oil change and lub. All fluids checked. I've spent around 2k fixing small stuff. All work done by a Chevrolet Dealership Corvette mechanic. All he does is restore Vettes and Chevelles for the owner. All guages work except clock. The forks on transmission replaced. New coil, new power steering lines, tach drive distributor, new plug wires, new backup switch, new leather seats, new carpet, new seat latches. Tires are almost new, 3000 miles. New power brake booster. All lights work. Blinkers work. Head lights pop up fine. Wipers work. The heater A/C control was sent to paragon and was rebuilt with a new face and looks new. As mentioned A/C does not hold freon but can be fixed.
The Body: Later model mirrors, front spooler, adjustable rear suspention, later model inner door panels, later model rear fender flares, later model steering wheel, lightly tinted glass, luggage rack. I've cleaned the intake and engine compartment sense I took the pictures. Not perfect but looks a lot better. Add some chrome and some serious detailing and you've got a show car.
The Engine: Casting: 3970010 Pad: Vin: C4B105794 K08 09 TKT. Date 3.F.27. The date is under the exhaust on the passenger side. I think this is 73 June 27th. I looked TKT up and its a 1974 4 barrel 350 1500 Truck block. I was told it was a 4 bolt. If you know how to tell call me and I'll look if I don't have to drop the pan. I don't know the bore or the compression or the cam lift. It is a solid lifter cam with crane roller rockers. Not real radical. #'s on the rockers are 1.5 11 4-81. It has a Weland 7546 intake and a 650 Holley double pumper. Heads are matching 3973487 Dates: H 3 0, H 5 0. These are 1971 corvette heads. Runs great on pump gas. With no more miles than it has had since rebuilt it may need valve seals as they get dry. This car does not burn oil but will puff smoke after setting for four or five months. It doesn't leak oil on the floor either. The oil sending tube at the motor leaks a little not much.
The Transmission: Casting on the main case: 3925660. Vin: 10K104041. K in for McKinnon Industries. This is a 1971 chevelle Muncie. Build Date: P0M15A I have a picture of this I thought L was Dec? This car has a scatter shield. It shifts very smooth and the clutch is fine.
The Rear: I didn't get the casting date but the code on the bottom is AP 3 3 65. Its a 1965 Corvette rear. Looked this up. Gear ratio 4-speed (327) Posi 4.11.1 Series 19437/67 This combination is very very quick. This car will lite em up. Hey I'm 55 so I've only tested not abused it.
This car has a loud after market stereo system with CD. The car was original Red with black interior. The brake pads were replaced 900 miles ago and stops fine. The steering has some play (not much) may need a pitman and idle arm. I lost the keys and replaced the ignition but not the door keys. It was always stored so I didn't care. The Hookers sound great if you like loud. They do have mufflers! The passenger door glass goes up slower than the driver door glass. I did have the motors worked on or maybe replaced can't remember. The chrome bumpers are an 8. Looks original except nicer. The L88 hood is after market without the breather box. There is a fine stress crack near the hood hinge on the passenger side and a chip on the headlight door (pictured). The paint job is really nice. A 9.
The Frame was very clean when I bought the car. Just needs a power wash to be very nice. Colors from the trim plate. 65,589 miles. April 3, 2008.
