Added to Registry 06/16/2013 Mileage: 49,727 miles Date Code: H22 (05/22/1980) Very nice 1980 RED Corvette that is an all original factory paint Code 83, with an almost perfect and all original code 122 Oyster Leather Interior everything from the door panels to the dash are in great condition all weatherstripping and soft seals and all the moldings are also in great condition. This Corvette is a 2 owner car it has always been very well kept and always stored inside, it has never has been driven in bad weather, and has always been in this area it was purchased new at Broadway Chevrolet. This Corvette has only been driven less than 3k miles since 1990. This Red Beauty has had the best of care and also it still retains the original unleaded fuel sticker which is quite rare for a 33 year old corvette. The red Paint finish is very deep with an excellent shine and it appears to have most of the original lacquer paint on it with no stress cracks or webbing, or paint fade. This was one of the last Corvettes to roll down the St .Louis assembly line, in the last full production year before operations were moved to the new Bowling Green facility in the mid year of 1981. This Corvette has indeed had a great 33 years of existence, everything from the paint to the interior are well above average condition as the oyster leather interior is all original and in close to perfect condition as you will find the carpet and original floor mats and all trim pieces as well. The drivability of this Corvette is incredible the factory 350 engine runs very smooth the NO LEAKS OR SMOKE. The MX1 Automatic Transmission shifts great through all the gears, the brakes were upgraded and stop great, the entire drivetrain is in very good condion. The undercarrige is very clean and solid the exhaust is also in great condition. This Corvette has CC1 glass tops that are in excellent condition from the glass panels to the rubber seals and moldings they look like new no leaks or rattles but they are the original blue glass tinted roof panels with the original covers. The options are as follows AU3 power door locks that work as they did when new, K30 Cruise control that also works as it should C49 REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER The C60 A/C blows cold THE POWER WINDOWS WORK AS THEY SHOULD even the Passenger side vanity mirror still lights up and looks like new. IT ALSO HAS THE ORIGINAL UN3 AM-FM RADIO STEREO WITH CASSETE AND U81 DUAL REAR SPEAKERS AND ALL 4 SPEAKERS SOUND GREAT. The speedometer and tachometer work accurately, all the gauges work as they should and also it has optional U75 Power antenna.THE N90 Aluminum wheels are in excellent condition with a great shine with 4 almost new 255/60 15 inch grand sport radial tires it also has the original spare tire and jack . It is hard to emphasize the condition overall this is indeed a prime example of one of the nicer original factory red with oyster leather interior cars that you will find. This is indeed a beautiful head turing little red Corvette. The headlights open and close perfectly, the delay wipers work as they should and even the horn works as well.
