Car history:
Look no further...this is the cleanest and most solid Corvette on eBay. This car was up on blocks in a garage since 1979 until last Father's Day when I was able to purchase the vehicle. Having owned dozens of these over the years, this is the best candidate for an NCRS Survivor. Look closely at all the pictures and take note of the frame, parts, and condition. The body was resprayed back in 1979, as the owner told me a shopping cart chipped the back corner of the driver's rear quarter. You can not see any body damage on it. The door jams are perfect and they close like new. The gaps are correct and the headlights, horn, wipers, and signals all work great. This is a Brands Hatch Green Corvette with 50K original miles on her. And it is a very early production at 4544 on the VIN. The original bill of sale is included, as will be a trade in certificate. Previous owner traded in a 68 Tempest Convertible for this beauty. I also have the protecto plate paperwork, original owners manuals, cloth bag with seat washers and key punchouts. The most intriguing story behind this car is where it was purchased. If you look online, the Scuncio Chevrolet dealership in Rhode Island was where COPO Novas, Chevelles, and Camaros were updated. The emblem alone on the rear deck of this car has been seen on eBay for close to $1,000. My story...when I finally received the Corvette I lubed the motor, pistons, and anything in between. Previous owner did a great job of keeping it oiled and preserved. The tank was replaced with new factory replacement. Also replaced was the fuel pump, water pump, thermostat, rubber lines, radiator and sending unit. After about a month of preparation, the car fired up and believe it or not, idled perfectly....the car was like a time capsule! I then continued to replace the rear mufflers and tips (I threw on a pair of 69 tips I had - but I have the originals), battery, and gaskets. Next came the braking where I used Muskegon for new calipers, rotors, pads, lines, and master cylinder. Finally came a set of tires. The car was ready to be driven when I realized the freeze out plug was leaking and I had to pull the motor. After I replaced 6 freeze out plugs, intake and exhaust gaskets, I decided to have the carb professionally built. Finally, I added an Accel Super Coil and HEI ignition because it wasn't getting enough spark. Today the car runs great and needs nothing but a new owner. Included with the sale of this car is all the ignition shielding, original coil, cap, rotor, and any other electrical parts I removed. The power steering pump was removed when I pulled the engine and is also in a box. The body on the car is an 8 out of 10 with no frame rot. I can see a small spot of surface rust on the passenger side windshield pillar post and a small spot on passenger side rear tail as seen in picture. As for the interior, it is a 10 out of 10...perfect shape with NO tears on seats or dash. Carpet is perfect but the clock and radio are not working. I never even took the time to see if it may just be a fuse or wire for radio. If you know these cars as well as I do then you have seen the same junk on eBay that has mismatched parts or is hiding rust and horror stories when it arrives to you. Motor pad says V0910CJL. 50,025 miles from the odometer. BiN $16,000. August 1, 2015.
