05/09/2014 1981 Corvette that I bought last year (2013). I went on a search for an excellent 1981 (my favorite year) Corvette and had to have a factory 4-speed. I found this one about two and a half hours away from me and drove it home. I registered it, parked it in the garage, and have probably driven it three times since then. Now I'm down sizing to a smaller home with less garage space and something has to go. I'd like to keep this because it is an excellent example of a 1981 Corvette, but I just don't have the room for it anymore. Odometer shows 90k but title is exempt due to its age and being a Florida title. 1. Drivetrain: Runs and drives excellent, the motor fires right up and the car runs out very strong. Transmission shifts well and will chirp the tires in 2nd and 3rd gear. Not super fast but definitely fun to drive as a 4-speed. 2. Interior: Seats are in excellent condition as you can tell in the pictures. Overall the interior is nice, kind of typical ugly older carpet that if I were keeping it I would consider replacing for the $200 that a carpet kit would cost. 3. Exterior: Very nice condition, no scratches, dings, or dents noticeable. Paint is in excellent condition. Looks really good up close and underneath! Tires are near new as well, rims shine very nicely as you can see in the pictures. 4. Electric: Power seats, windows and doors, pop-up headlights all work as expected. Missing factory radio but includes UNCUT bezel. All gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge however I have a brand new tank sensor that I've been meaning to install. This will be included with the vehicle.
