This is a real LT-1 car, and although I've not been able to find a tank sticker, it was confirmed by a call with the original owner in Feb 2022. He had originally ordered an LS-6 in 1971, but switched to an LT-1 after there were production delays. He sent a photo of the car to me after it's first wash in June 1971, and also let me know that he had damaged the right passenger fender (he remembers no frame damage) after he spun on ice shortly after buying it. He also had pictures of this, and I found the damage repair under the front passenger wheel well.
