| Car history: |
| 1) 1968 Corvette with 73' front clip, base coupe-manual steering and brakes 327 375 hp numbers matching engine M22 4 speed (rock crusher) Drivetrain is solid with a good tune. No drivability issues. New aluminum 1 core radiator with dual fans, fans are thermostatically controlled and the car has never overheated even in 90 degree weather. I also updated the charging system with a higher amperage unit with an internal regulator. The wiring is sound and clean. The engine compartment is clean and well detailed. Engine upgrades include Holley 750 CFM carb, Edelbrock aluminum intake, headers, HEI tach drive ignition. Clutch is tight and the motor has a definite rumble at idle. This car is Fast and a proven, reliable driver without issue. New front brakes and wheel bearings. I sectioned the mufflers to add clearance for the spare tire clamshell and fabricated the internal baffles this car sounds great winding up and rowing through the gears without exception. Everything works except the speedo. clock works occasionally balance of gauges work, 10,762 showing on clock which has more than likely rolled over. Clean interior, presentable paint. T tops in good condition. This car is outstanding at looking fast and being fast. Minor oil leak-probably oil pan or rear main. I have not addressed the leak because imho it's not prevalent enough to merit addressing. additionally, when addressing the cooling system I also replaced the coolant tank, upper, lower radiator hoses, thermostat and the heater core. $9,969 (RnM) on June 4, 2017. |
