Numbers matching 1979 Chevrolet Corvette with only 9,300 miles (looks like the plastic was just pulled off the inside). This car is fantastic condition and everything works. This car has NEVER been wrecked!!!! This Corvette was built in August of 1979 in St. Louis, Missouri; it came from the factory in a beautiful gloss black with Oyster Leather interior (the seats are still super soft). It came equipped with 350 engine and an automatic transmission. This car was completely loaded (power brakes, power steering, tilt/telescopic steering, power windows, power locks, rear defroster, air conditioning, AM/FM/CB radio, factory theft alarm, t-tops, cruise) The car runs and drives new, everything works right down to the CB Radio and the engine bay light. This Corvette was one of the last 3,500 built and actually had 1980 tach and speedometer installed in the dash. It is 1 of 4,438 that came with the AM/FM/CB radio. There were 53,807 Corvettes built in 1979 and only 10,465 came in Black, 9,316 of them came with Oyster Leather. The interior of this car is in fantastic shape, all the way down to the original floor mats. There is only one small place on the drivers door panel (as seen in photo). The paint on this car is mostly original (top of car), the sides have been repainted because like all old vettes that are original, you could see impressions of the bonding strips on the fenders and quarters. All of the paint still has a deep shine on it. There are very few minor paint chips on this car. The miles on this car are correct and there is paperwork to document it, there is also a photo of the Ohio DMV website where this car vin is listed showing the documented owners and the mileage each time it was changed over. The man that owned this car before me bought it from Pioneer Chevrolet with only 3,359 miles on it (January 29, 1996). He pulled the original tires off of it and replaced them with the Goodyear tires currently on it (they only have 6,000 miles on them). He kept the original tires and kept them wiped with conditioner and as you can see in the photo, they look great…..they only have 3,359 miles on them. This car has been kept in a garage for the last 20 years and judging how nice it is underneath. It has been stored inside all its life. Everything on this car is ORIGINAL, the previous owner put a chrome air breather cover and chrome brake fluid cover on it to dress it up some. The original parts are shown with the original tires.
