1) I have a small collection of cars and dont care if I sell this car or not but curious to see what it will do. First it is a 1968 Corvette Convertible that is black with red interior which is a super nice color combo and looks great. The car has 69,100 original miles and I believe it is a 3 owner car with the last two owners being a father than the son. The car shows 69,100 miles on the title I have drove the car some since than so it has more than that but not a lot. I was told that the motor is a 427 motor and has been all rebuilt just a few thousand miles ago. I have never checked to see if it was the son was a mechanic and said that he did a complete rebuild on the motor and put new exhaust on it. It also has the dual 4 carb set up on it which is really cool. The car runs and drives out really nice and sounds great. I know the car was an original 4 speed but dont know if it was a true 427 car. The motor is not the original one that came with the car. I believe this is the original color combo on the car but have not looked that up also. The interior is not perfect but is in nice condition with no rips or tears in the seats. The exterior is a shinny black but this car is a 5 footer. The paint shines nice but has some checking here and there. The car photographs very well and like I said it really looks super nice until you get really close than you notice some of the common cracking vettes have and some of the bubbling. Before I get a lot of emails telling me that the nose is not correct I know it is off I think a 71 Corvette I dont know why this was done and never asked. I know of no wreck that the car has ever been in and have not ever noticed any damage anywhere. If I ever did redo this car I thought I might change the nose back to 68 and than add the big block hood to it. It has some bubbling on the hood and the tops of the front fenders. The underside is super clean and the frame looks great. It is so clean I would say it looks like the car was restored at one time and the whole frame was done. I drive the car and didn't want a perfect show car so I didn't repaint the car. The car has new tires and rims and the convertible top is in really nice shape I dont think it is very old. The car has always been stored inside and never driven in the winter. The car has plenty of power and I have always loved the feel of the corvette shifter and how they feel when you shift them out. The car has nice lines and the doors, top and hood all fit nice. Colors from the owner. September 27, 2009.
