| Car history: |
| 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster, with a rare numbers matching 427/400hp big block with tri power and smog, 4 speed manual trans, transistor ignition, 3,70 posi rear end, and side exhaust. It is Daytona Yellow with black vinyl interior, and a black top which are the correct, original colors. I also have a copy of the original build sheet/tank sticker which is pictured below. The motor and trans have been rebuilt, not sure when...but the car runs extremely well and it goes down the road nice and straight. Now I know I'm going to get questions about the stamping on the block. The car is a very early 1969, and the factory put a very late 68 block in the car, so if there is any confusion the motor is correct for the car. The transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch is strong. The frame is solid and original all the way around...no heavy rust or deterioration. Most of the front and rear suspension have been rebuilt...new bushings, etc. The body is straight, the paint is ok...as you can see in the pictures, the car has an original big block hood, but it's still in primer black. The paint over the rest of the body has spider cracking in various areas, and small chips here and there, so in summary the paint is presentable, but not perfect. All the body lines, and seams are nice and straight. The convertible top frame and material are in excellent condition. The interior looks very good...it has newer carpeting, and seats...the dash pads are all in good condition, and all the gauges are functional. This car could easily be picked up and driven to wherever you need it to go, so those of you who are going to ask me if this car could make a long distance trip...I don't see any reason why it could not. Axle ratio is 3,70. Colors from tank sticker. February 29, 2008. |
