$24,000 on May 20, 2010. Finely restored 1969 Chevrolet Corvette T-Top (coupe). This car has been a project for me for the last ten years. I was an NCRS enthusiast and began the process of taking this car back to concourse standards---however seven years into the project I realized that this would be very very expensive. I then sought out a more practical approach to having the car completed and restored. I chose to hire Walden-Younger Corvette restoration out of Fyffe, Alabama. Adrian Walden, who has made the cover of several corvette magazines personally worked on this car and restored the car for me. Some basics about the car: 1) 1969 Corvette- Big Block 427 Cubic inch engine with 3 x 2 barrell carburators. 2) Muncie M-22 4 speed transmission 3) Posi-rear end with completely all new suspension, frame, halfshafts, bushings, bearings and ball joints, new tires, shocks, springs, braking system, and fuel line system and spare tire tray. 4) Engine block is stamped to match the VIN and build year and date, the heads, manifold and carbs also date correct. 5) Car has new Al Knock interior--with leather seats. After market CD player ; 6) Car did not come with air conditioning. Owner pretend it is a 427/435, but the tachometer shows a 6,000 rpm redzone (=350/350). $40,000. Color codes from the owner. Built date is B12. April 2, 2010. |
