Car history:
Low mileage 1976 Stingray. I am the 3rd owner of the car, my dad was the 2nd and bought the car when it was about 8 years old so I can guarantee the mileage is correct. I will divide the description into two parts: Good & Bad.

The Good:

The car is low miles with the original matching numbers block. This is an L-48 car and is fully loaded for a vette this year. It has the deluxe, leather interior, power windows, original stereo FM/AM radio, A/C, rear window defogger, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, factory alarm system, rear view mirror courtesy light, and T-tops (with original storage bags). The car has never been in a wreck and has spent most of the latter part of it's life in storage in a concrete floored barn or garage. The frame and floor pans are solid on this car. I have the owner's manual plus several other manuals that will go with the car (the factory assembly manual, etc...). The car has all new accessories on the engine, including power steering pump and upper hoses, water pump (and water hoses), alternator, fuel pump, aluminum radiator, front brake calipers (and pads) and Edelbrock Performer Series 600 CFM electric choke carb (Model #1406). Last fall I also went through the vacuum system for the headlights as these were starting to become slow to move up and down and I replaced a check valve, and the relay switches. The headlights move great now! The car runs great and starts easy. The transmission shifts wonderful. Most everything works on the car: the power windows, rear defogger, heating controls, wipers, all the lights (no wiring problems), original radio.

The Bad:

Obviously from the pictures, the car needs a paint job. It has seen too many warm and cold Indiana climate changes on its original paint job and the paint has literally cracked and started to fall off. No damage to the fiberglass though! The car's factory air does not work. It did for the first 3 months I had the car, but then it blew the original top A/C lines. I removed the A/C pump (stored it in the garage), the upper lines that blew, and the condenser when I replaced the radiator (also stored in the garage). I do have the original Quadrajet carb, it needs a rebuild as it would run good sometimes, and then it'd start acting up. I have the original air filter system with snorkel to the air intake, and all of the original plug wire and distributor shielding that was stock on these cars. The interior is in GOOD shape for its age, but its not perfect. The driver side seat is getting worn with a very small hole worn in the leather and the carpet on the passenger side right in front of the seat has a hole in it (you can't really see it with the floor mat down if you're not looking for it). The factory alarm no longer works, hasn't for as long as my family has had the car. The car needs new exhaust! It is gone from the cat back. So it is very loud when running.

All in all this car could VERY easily be turned into an enjoyable every day driver, or could be restored relatively easy as well.
