If you are seeking a classic, fun, fast cruiser capable of 25+ MPG this just may be your next ride. You won't find all the annoying creature comforts our society has come to demand. This car was built with the spirit of a classic sports car. Shift through all 6 gears when you want to, not when an auto trans thinks you should. Feel the road like you should with the tight manual steering. Hate those squishy power brakes found on other vintage cars? Me too. This car has rotors, calipers and master cylinder from a 2001 Corvette properly setup for manual operation. Has great pedal feel. No annoying radio to take away from the beautiful simplicity of the interior. Besides you'll want to hear the thunder of the classic chambered exhaust. No A/C either. Come on, this is a convertible. If you get a little hot, just drive faster and feel the wind in your hair. I bought the car 12 years ago from a dealer in Lynnwood, WA. I have the CLEAR WA title in hand. Car has a WA assigned VIN and was a theft recovery from the 70's. The frame is sound, there is some surface rust in the rear. The worst is in the pictures. Bird cage does have some surface rust up under the dash. Nothing structural. No rust flakes when the doors are slammed. There is no rust visible through the windshield. 1970 Corvette hard top roadster (hard top only). Fuel injected 346 Cu in. all aluminum LS1 engine ~ 45K miles. T56 6-speed manual with hydraulic clutch. 2002 Corvette brakes (manual). Radio delete. Vinyl hard top. Boyd Coddington Wheels (17 fronts / 18 rears). New carpet and whole interior was removed and cleaned. Classic Instruments electric speedo and tach. Electric fans. New water pump and heater core. Removable Anti-theft device. I have done all the work myself. Here is a video of the car running so you can hear it run. NO the car does not smoke. The video was taken when it was cold out. April 28, 2010.
99 LS1 engine with T56 six speed transmisison. 28,998 miles. Seen on www.c3vr.com on March 8, 2008.
