| 1) Completely restored numbers matching 1968 corvette. There were 9,936 coupes assembled in 1968, but there were very few produced with the automatic transmission, big block, and leather seat combo. All major engine components are matching 68 date coded, with the exception of the exhaust manifolds. We installed headers and an electronic distributor for performance reasons. However, the original 68 date coded distributor is included, as well as the shielded wires, coil, and chrome cover. Also, this car has the 8 inch rally wheels rather than the original 7, but the car still has the original 7 inch spare tire mounted and installed. The car has all new wiring harnesses, vacuum lines, and actuators. The interior is mostly original and has been restored including the original leather seats. We were unable to locate a set of 68 seat belts, so none were installed. We have over 30,000 dollars invested, not to mention countless hours of work. We can provide receipts if necessary. As you probably know, these cars were pretty spotty when it came to assembly and some of the N.O.S parts were very difficult to locate. The 68's weren't 100 per cent perfect when they rolled off the assembly line, but this is very nice car. We don't really have the time to enjoy this car, so it's time to pass it on to someone who does.
